What is a Sporting Clay Outing?

Sporting clay courses use clay disc targets launched to introduce the illusion of speed or distance in the eye of the competitor, moving at speeds or in the ways of game birds. Like a golf outing, we have breakfast, lunch, raffles, and prizes.

How Does it Work?

To participate in a round of sporting clays, each squad will compete at each station in order. Targets may be thrown from literally any angle or distance to simulate birds in flight and gives the participant the experience of actual hunting conditions.

Shotgun Start

After registration, breakfast, and a safety talk, we will have a REAL “shotgun start”.

You’ll test your accuracy with 100 clay disc moving targets across 14 stations (and we’ll keep score for prizes).

Do I Need Experience?

No! Even if you’ve never held a firearm, our instructors will have you breaking targets in no time! In addition to the safety briefing for everyone, a training session for new participants will precede the event.

We bring together the real estate, facilities, and construction industries to benefit organizations like IFMA Long Island, Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, Inc., and the American Heart Association’s Hard Hats with Heart.

I cannot begin to thank you for hosting such an outstanding event yesterday to benefit our organization.

It ran so seamlessly and you both did not miss a beat. You have so much to be proud of – your hard work shined all day. The consensus of the group was overwhelmingly positive, everyone saying they had a great time! It’s because of hardworking volunteers like you, our organization can do what we do every day.
